Course story

Henry Fownes built Oakmont in 1903 and his son Bill spent the following decades making it harder, on the principle that a shot poorly played should be a shot irrevocably lost. The greens are the fastest many professionals will putt all year and run away from the hole in directions that are difficult to read. The Church Pews, a long bunker ribbed with twelve grass rows, sits between the 3rd and 4th and catches drives from both. Oakmont has hosted more US Opens than any other course, and the winning scores tell the story on their own.

Every print is made to order. Allow 2 to 5 business days for printing and framing, then 3 to 6 business days in transit. Larger sizes are packed in a rigid box and can take a little longer.

Returns
If a print arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, email us within 30 days with a photograph and we will replace it at no cost.

Because each piece is printed and framed to order, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If you are unsure about a size, the size comparison above is there to help, and you are welcome to ask before you buy.
